The Way

(A poetic reflection on John 14:6)

The Father, the Son, the Spirit
Do you have ears to hear Him?
Their wisdom, their knowledge, discernment —
His ways, His truth; learn, do not spurn them.

In the heart it is plainly known,
Throughout creation it is shown.
Yet darkness clothes itself in lies,
To blind the truth before our eyes.

In the brokenness shines a light, if you know where to look;
Jesus is the answer — His ways fill the Book.
Concealed in the Old, revealed in the New,
He stepped down from glory to save me and you.

I stumbled in darkness, surrendered to sin;
Then He appeared, speaking light deep within.
He awakened the Spirit held at rest inside;
Now a new creature — I’ve left the old life behind.

Here’s my call to the lost ones, still waiting, still to save:
Listen closely, for it’s eternal truth you crave.
Let Him lead you, and peace will guide your way,
Until Jesus returns to take you home someday.

“Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” — Psalm 119:105

Inspired by John 14:6, this piece captures the heart of the believer’s walk — from darkness into the light of Christ. May it remind you that the way is not a path to be found, but a Person to be followed.
